This is the story of a young man following his father's footsteps and reopening the family bakery that was left closed after his parents passed. On the night before the grand opening, a spaceship, carrying two aliens, crashes into the building. In time a relationship forms between the baker and the alien leader and it does have a happy ending. Basically, is a comedy first, a bit of Sci-Fi here and there with a romance tacked on at the end. It was almost like they forgot it was supposed to be a romance and then in the next to last episode someone realized that it was supposed to be there! While there was a lot of humor, my favorite was the dog-like alien, much of the humor was forced and often tipped over into more of the idiotic or annoying, rather than being truly funny. It was a good series and mostly on the light-side. The special effects were actually fairly high quality, which you don't normally see in this genre. The ending did feel a bit rushed for me though, there were alien-related subplots that were really not resolved. Overall, I did enjoy it, but it probably won't be one that I would watch again.
