Synopsis

This is a very gay-heavy historical fiction story about a mother who pushes her son to become the bed-warmer for the king of England. While this is based on real people and events, some very accurately, there is definitely some creative license taken as well. This is a dark story with many characters and subplots; and while there is much history involved, it is first and foremost a gay story. What I didn't care for were several scenes of extreme gore/graffic violence and also the way some parts of the story were handled, it was very disconnected at times. While I did enjoy parts of it, it is not one I would watch again.
