This is the story of a 30 year old man who has spent his life trying to become a poet as his family, friends and wife support him. When a donut shop opens across the street he becomes infatuated with the donuts and the twink who works there; maybe because he's cute or maybe because he smells like donuts (I'm joking). They begin an emotional affair, never physical. In time the younger guy pushes him away. Then it flashes forward about two years and we find out why they parted ways. It doesn't end on a traditional happy ending, more like both just struggle to accept what their life really is.
