"With scribe Stephen Susco and a committed ensemble leaning into the full potential of the sci-fi premise, [director Steven] Quale delivers a surprise-upon-surprise romp that Rod Serling himself might have once conjured..." **READ the full review here**: _http://www.screen-space.net/reviews/2026/6/16/black-box.html_

There's a lot of The Mist in here, and there's also a lot of Twilight Zone in here. Then there is some Invasion of the Body Snatchers, some Snakes on a plane. There's simply a lot here. Not all of it is bad, and it's an enjoyable ride, even though it has its flaws.

A unique alien body snatcher airline hi-jacking scifi thriller. Enjoyed the movie with its unexpected twists and turns. The premise might be a bit over the top but it is creative nonetheless. 7/10

I expected nothing, was somewhat surprised that movie turned out actually decent low budget scifi - but then AI generated sequence jumped in to say hello and my heart sank a bit. With movies like this, there's always certain anxiety while watching, wondering when is other shoe gonna drop - movie turns out to be religious or political indoctrination vehicle or creator is just plain crazy and tries to convey some insane message to the viewer. Luckily, this does not happen here, it's actually pretty straightforward mystery scifi fare. Unfortunately, all that good will got somewhat tarnished by using generic AI generated video to add some simple exposition B roll in the third act. Worst thing is, it was pretty much unnecessary and if they had to do it, any stock video that you can buy on stock footage websites would do just fine instead of.. well, this. So I was about to score it 60% for effort but I had to knock it down for AI sequence.
